Final call for London 2012 volunteers

The final search is on for participants in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

London 2012 Ceremonies is finalising its teams for the historic events, and has shifted its focus to volunteers with a background or experience in props and scenery.

Thousands of items of props and scenery will be used in the Ceremonies – which will be among the biggest events ever staged in the UK – and volunteers will be required to help assemble, install, distribute and retrieve these props and scenic elements.

Potential volunteers have until Monday 2 April to apply at www.london2012.com.
