50,000 take on the Gold Challenge

[newsimage=0]Over 50,000 people have signed up to Gold Challenge, making it one of the UK’s largest charity challenges.

Gold Challenge is the UK’s only Olympic and Paralympic sport-based charity challenge, supporting 150 charity partners ahead of the London 2012 Games.

Over 30,000 people have signed up to the challenge since November 29, putting the Gold Challenge well on track to reach its target of 100,000 sign-ups by the end of 2012.

To challenge is free to sign up, with participants choosing one of three Olympic-themed challenges, as well as the charity they would like to raise funds for.

‘When we announced 20,000 registrations in November, I was incredibly proud of the business and hoped we would keep the momentum going in the lead up to Christmas,’ said Gold Challenge Executive Chairman Dan Thompson.

‘I am thrilled that we have exceeded my expectations and that we will enter 2012, forecast to be our biggest year, in a fantastic position. We are looking forward to 2012 and hopefully inspiring over 100,000 people to get active by trying Olympic & Paralympic sports.’
