Explore Rowing is on its way to Scotland as British Rowing and Scottish Rowing agree to promote fun and social rowing north and south of the border.

This agreement, which initially runs until March 2013, means Scottish Rowing clubs can become Explore Rowing-accredited – allowing them access to Learn to Row courses and literature, Explore Rowing Handbooks and Workbooks, and the ongoing support of the Explore Rowing team.

‘This is another example of the excellent collaboration between British Rowing and Scottish Rowing,’ said Di Ellis, British Rowing Chairman.

‘Both National Governing Bodies are pooling their resources for the greater good of the sport, and I’m sure we’ll see many more people from both sides of the border enjoying the fantastic rowing opportunities Scotland has to offer as a consequence.’

‘Scottish Rowing is very excited to be able to work with British Rowing in utilising their successful Explore Rowing project to help promote rowing in Scotland,’ added Mike Morrice, President of Scottish Rowing.

‘This agreement will provide our clubs with quality resources to make rowing more accessible to all.’

Explore Rowing aims to provide new rowers with a fun, friendly introduction to rowing, as well as providing existing rowers with exciting new tours and challenges.
