Rowing clubs up and down the country will be offering Row for Gold Learn to Row courses, specially designed to get you out onto the water in a fun, friendly, and safe environment, regardless of age or experience.

Rowing is a sport for everyone, and it’s never been easier to take part yourself – with taster sessions, Learn to Row courses, and a selection of challenges for newcomers all widely available under the Row for Gold banner.

Watch

There will also be a network of Row for Gold regattas around the country next summer, offering you the opportunity to witness our future Olympians battling it out on the water.

Our current crop of Olympic hopefuls made their names competing in local regattas, and our next generation of Olympic and Paralympic stars will be looking to do the same when the Row for Gold regattas get underway in August 2012.

Return

Row for Gold also provides the perfect platform for former rowers to get back into our sport.

If you used to row at school, university or for a local club why not look at organising a Return to Rowing race at an event near you. Next summer will be the perfect time to get back in touch with former crew-mates and out onto the water.  An irresistible opportunity to relive former glories – rebuilding the unique bonds forged by rowing, and tasting competition again.

Or you might just want to look up your old club to see if they are offering one of the many more flexible and fun ways to stay in the sport.

With our home-grown rowers taking on the world’s best next summer, 2012 is shaping up to be a wonderful year for rowing in the UK.
