North of England Sprint Championships cancelled

Hollingworth Lake Rowing Club has regretfully announced its decision to cancel The North of England Sprint Championships due to be held on Saturday 3rd September.

This is due to ‘emergency engineering work’ that has to be carried out on all reservoirs nationally following the floods of recent years – leaving the water level of Hollingworth Lake too low to safely hold an event.

Hollingworth Lake Rowing Club would like to publicly thank all the North West Clubs that have offered assistance with this matter, and hope that everyone will continue to support this event in 2012 when HLRC will be celebrating its 140th anniversary with some special events.
