Junior Inter-Regional Regatta 2011

The 2011 Junior Inter-Regional Regatta (JIRR) will take place on Saturday 9th April at the National Watersports Centre, Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham.

Please note the JIRR Committee have recently highlighted the following changes to the 2011 event:

• For the first time it will be run over the full 2000m course. Any crews entered must be competitive over this distance and have received adequate practice in backing onto start pontoons.
• The exception to this will be the Open and Women’s J14 1x and the two new events being tested this year – Open and Women’s J13 4x+, which will be run as time trials over 1500m. All crews will race twice and points and final positions will be determined by their cumulative times.
• The single sculling events will no longer accrue double points.
• East Midlands team colours are changing from ‘Heather Grey’ to ‘Hot Pink’.
• The committee regrets that, as the event is no longer being sponsored by the Stewards Charitable Trust, team entry fees are likely to rise for 2011.
