FISA World Rowing Tour 2011
FISA’s World Rowing Tour in June 2011 is the first to take place in Asia and the organisers say it will be a wonderful opportunity to get to know more about rowing’s history in Japan.
Rowing tours are not new to Japan and the most famous and oldest is the Lake Biwa tour, carried out since 1893. Twelve touring boats will follow the route of this tour and the itinerary will include visits to the temples, shrines and castles that dot the shores of the lake.
All candidates must have a good knowledge and ability in rowing and be fit enough to row the distances outlined in the schedule. Entry forms should be with FISA by 31st January 2011 but must be endorsed by the National Federation first so please send to Mrs Rosemary Napp, National Manager, British Rowing, 6 Lower Mall, London W6 9DJ by Wednesday 26th January.
