Woodvale Challenge Seminar
The next Woodvale Challenge Seminar will be held on Saturday 20th November at The Victory Inn, Hamble, Southampton.
The talk will start at 10am and last for three hours.
Speakers:
Simon Chalk from Woodvale will be hosting the seminar. Simon is best known for being the first Briton – and the youngest person ever – to row solo across the Indian Ocean. A feat he completed in 2003 after a gruelling 107 days at sea. He is also the holder of nine Guinness World Records for ocean rowing and has rowed more than 13,000 nautical miles across four oceans.
Ian Couch Managing Director of Adventure Hub and three-times ocean rower, will be joining Simon to talk about his experiences and provide some useful hints and tips.
Norman Beech of the Beech Boys, will be the guest speaker. Norman completed the Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race in 2010, with his son James, in 83 days.
In addition to providing information and pictures of previous rows, Woodvale will also be talking about the next “Team Woodvale” challenge, the Atlantic Allum Cup in January 2011 and some of the crew members will be there.
