First set of Durham ARC Explore Rowing graduates take to the water

Durham Amateur Rowing Club's Explore Rowing graduates

Durham Amateur Rowing Club, one of the six pioneering clubs in
the UK
to offer the new exciting Explore Rowing Learn to Row Courses, has just graduated its first rowers.

The rowers, having completed their ten week Explore Rowing course, have learnt the basics of
rowing whilst experiencing the freedom of being out on the water, whilst achieving
something new. On completion of their course, the graduates decided to end the course in style by competing in a
charity fund raising event for the Rose Education Foundation www.rose-edfoundation.org as well as enjoying a BBQ.

The grand total raised from sponsorship, barbeque and donations came to
£380. All the graduates
have now chosen to join the club either as recreational rowers or as a member of the development squad.
