Volunteering for London 2012

London 2012 will depend on up to 70,000 volunteers to make sure the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games run smoothly and successfully.  Volunteers will carry out a range of essential tasks, from spectator services to language services and medical care.

In order to assist London 2012 with their recruitment, British Rowing would like to gauge the interest and skills of those volunteers within the rowing community who may be interested in volunteering in a sport specific role at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.   


You will be able to apply for a volunteer role with London 2012 regardless of whether you complete our Indication of Interest form.   All volunteers will have to go through a London 2012 recruitment process which will involve completing an application form, attending selection event(s) and accepting an offer.  All volunteers will be expected to attend training events that will give them the knowledge they need to carry out their role, even if they are experienced in their own sport.
