Port of London Authority: Public meeting about the Tidal Thames
A public meeting to discuss current and future matters related to the tidal Thames will be held at London Rowing Club, Putney Embankment on Thursday 8th October. The meeting is one of a continuing series being held to give you an opportunity to put your questions about the work of the Port of London Authority (PLA) direct to its senior managers. Other events will be held in Kent and Essex later in the year.
PLA chief executive, Richard Everitt will host the meeting with chief harbour master, David Snelson. They will be happy to address questions about PLA operations and developments on the river in general, but particularly on the upper reaches between Putney and Teddington. They plan to include at the outset an update on the programme for tree managament along the south bank of the river between Putney and Kew, which started earlier this year.
Anyone interested in the work and activities of the PLA or developments on the tidal Thames in general is welcome to attend the meeting.
Date/time: Thursday 8th October at 6:30pm. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available from 6:15pm.
Venue: London Rowing Club, Embankment, Putney, SW15 1LB
