BUCS 2009/10 rowing programme launched

The BUCS & PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Rowing programme for 2009/10 was launched on 14th September at a club reps development day hosted at the East Midlands PwC offices.

Almost 100 students and coaches from 40 university rowing clubs attended the day. In the morning, the 2009/10 season was introduced by various members of the Rowing Sport Management Group including discussion of the 3 events this season and an update on the rules and regulations. A short video was shown celebrating the success of the team who travelled to the recent EUSA Rowing Championships and information provided on the 2010 EUSA Championships in Amsterdam and also the 2010 FISU (World University) Championships in Hungary.
In the afternoon, attendees had the choice of several workshops sessions to attending including GB Rowing Technique, Psychology and Coaching for Excellence provided by PricewaterhouseCoopers.


Entries are now open for the first event of the season – the PricewaterhouseCoopers & BUCS Rowing Small Boats Head which will be held in conjunction with GB Rowing’s 1st Assessment on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September at Boston Rowing Club.
