Entries for Henley Royal Regatta published

From Henley Royal Regatta:

The Henley Stewards are pleased to announce an excellent entry, including several crews containing Beijing Olympic medallists, for this year’s Henley Royal Regatta. The total entry of 468 crews (450 in 2008) includes 93 Overseas crews (98 in 2008) from 15 different nations.

The Regatta welcomes entries from China for the very first time with Sichuan Province entering crews in The Princess Grace Challenge Cup (W4x), in The Double Sculls Challenge Cup (M2x) and in the two single sculling events. New Zealand has entered its full World Championships’ Team and the Italian Federation, after an absence of many years, has entered crews in three events.

The Chairman of the Committee of Management, Mr. Mike Sweeney, said "I am delighted that, in this post Olympic year, we have been able to attract such a high quality entry for this year’s Regatta. The presence of almost the full British team is particularly pleasing and the strong international competition should produce some wonderful racing."
