It was a pleasant spring day with a light cross wind which made for good but slow racing conditions. The day was split into a morning and an afternoon programme.

The morning’s successes began for Nottingham Rowing Club with the Juniors leading the way, as they have done all season so far, with an excellent win in the J18 quadruple sculls coached by Martin Kay and stroked by Sam Ward from Bilborough College in a time of 6m 52secs. This was followed by a very good row by the Women’s novice quad coached by
Mike Fay, who came second to  Rob Roy RC and a win by Lyndsey Morton,
coached by Ade Roberts, in the intermediate 2 sculls. The morning session ended with a fine display of quadruple sculling by the veterans stroked by John Stevens. All members of this crew are ex-rowers from Notts County Rowing Association, who are now part of Nottingham Rowing Club.
