Henley welcomes back its local Olympic rowers

The River & Rowing Museum, Henley Town Council and Leander Club are hosting a special reception and parade this weekend to celebrate the achievements of the town’s Olympic rowers.   

The celebrations kick off at 9 am on Saturday 11th October, with a reception for the rowers and invited guests in the museum’s Schwarzenbach International Rowing Gallery.

You can see the rowers take to the water at 10.15 from the museum jetty before they return to Leander Club where, at 11.20 am, team members will board a bus for a 45-minute tour around Henley.

The museum will open to the public at 10.30 am.  More information from www.rrm.co.uk
