Junior rowers full of Eastern promise

A number of the Eastern Region’s junior rowers have been invited to attend the GB junior trials at Dorney Lake on 19th and 20th April. These include:

Lottie Hudson (Lea RC), Charlotte Burgess (Star Club), Jenny Spencer (Sudbury RC), Eleanor Piggott, Sophie Symmonds, Chloe Symmonds, Cate Dixon (Bedford High School RC), Natalie Bream, Bethany Astell, Polly Hetherington, Jo Fitzsimons, Sam Howell (St Neots RC), James Wilkes, Paul Skennerton, Alex Roberston, William Edwards (Bedford Modern School), Adam Neill, Peterborough, Oliver Campbell (Rob Roy BC), James Hadley, (St Ives RC), James Scott (King’s Ely).

This is a large number from the Region and shows that rowing in the East is
gaining in depth at a higher level with many clubs and schools being
involved.

In addition an almost full team of 14 – 16 year old boys and girls are racing
at the Junior Inter-Regional Regatta at the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham on Saturday 19th April, 2008.
