Clubmark: spotlight on Christine Meikle

Christine has been involved since 2001 when she joined Tees Rowing Club. Her son Philip was rowing for Yarm School and when she got fed up standing on the bank she started rowing with her daughter Melissa. Her husband also got involved as a rower.

Christine undertook her Instructor Award (now approx. Level 2) in 2003 and then a Bronze Award in 2006 (now approx Level 3). She is the club’s lead for Project Oarsome, the ARA scheme that links clubs with secondary schools.
