Win up to £1,000 at the British Rowing Indoor Championships 5K EXR Invitational
A brand-new event for 2025, racers will qualify at virtual events, with the top 25 male and female rowers invited to race for cash prizes on 7 December in Birmingham
British Rowing and EXR have once more combined forces to bring you an exciting new event at the British Rowing Indoor Championships!
The EXR Invitational is a 5000m indoor rowing race for cash prizes, where entrants will pre-qualify in EXR’s Qualifier Group Races from 23 October to 8 November. 50 rowers will be invited to compete on the race floor in Birmingham on Sunday, 7 December. The top three female and male competitions will win prizes up to £1,000!
How can I race at the EXR Invitational?
- Sign up for the EXR Invitational Qualifier events on the EXR website or in the app
- Complete at least 1 of the 6 events. You can compete as often as you like. Only your best time will be ranked on the leaderboard
- On 10 November, the top 50 rowers will receive an email informing them about their qualification
- Confirm your participation at the EXR Invitational until 16 November
- On 7 December, race at the EXR Invitational in Birmingham!
You can check your ranking at any time on the Qualifiers leaderboard, which displays the best times of all racers on the EXR website.
When are the qualifying races?
The qualification races will be held on EXR’s virtual race courses on the following dates:
- Thursday, 23 October at 9am (UTC)
- Saturday, 25 October at 11am (UTC)
- Tuesday, 28 October 12am (UTC)
- Sunday, 2 November at 12pm (UTC)
- Wednesday, 5 November at 8pm (UTC)
- Saturday, 8 November at 10pm (UTC)
What can you win at the EXR Invitational?
All participants of the EXR Invitational at the British Rowing Indoor Championships will receive participation medals. The top 3 women and the top 3 men will receive cash prizes offered by EXR.
All costs and logistics, including visa, travel, transportation, accommodation, and food and beverage, are not covered by EXR or British Rowing.
