British Rowing Club Leader Conference: Save the date!
Looking beyond the boathouse, this Conference will give club leaders practical tools to shape the future and purpose of their clubs
British Rowing will be hosting the inaugural British Rowing Club Leader Conference on Sunday, 1 February 2026 at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre, London Heathrow.
We’ll be sharing updates and opportunities from British Rowing for all clubs, so please save the date to join us in February.
About the Conference
Following on from last year’s successful Coaching Conference in Birmingham, which connected and inspired over 200 coaches, the Club Leader Conference is for those in positions within clubs who can initiate change. The aim of the Conference is to provide these individuals with important updates from British Rowing, as well as practical tools to bring back to their clubs – all designed to shape their club’s legacy.
Who is this Conference for?
Each club will be able to nominate one representative for a free place at the Conference, with more places available at a later date for the clubs that would like more than one member to attend. Delegates travelling from further afield will have the option to apply for travel support to the Conference.
Why this Conference?
Sport in the United Kingdom is evolving at an unprecedented rate, competition between sports for new members and retaining members is high and those members quite rightly expect more of us.
This conference is about helping leaders navigate that changing landscape, because the sport only thrives if clubs thrive. And clubs are facing new pressures, opportunities and expectations.
We have organised a day of practical tools, shared stories and new thinking that help clubs strengthen their foundations, grow participation and improve sustainability. We’ll share more details of the agenda once we open for bookings – and you’ll have the opportunity to shape some topics too.
We’re connecting people who lead clubs, surfacing great ideas from across the community, and showcasing solutions that make it easier to run and enjoy rowing.
