London Regatta Centre to host Annual GB v France Competition
Fifty-four J16 athletes and eighteen coaches and support staff, many of whom are volunteers, have been selected to represent Great Britain at the 43rd GB v France match
The nations take turns in hosting this historic event, which this year is being held at the London Regatta Centre, in the shadow of City Airport, in the heart of London’s Docklands on Saturday 12 July 2025.
John Layng, GB Rowing Team’s Team Manager said: “The GB v France match is the first step on British Rowing’s Olympic Performance Pathway and gives our young rowers the opportunity to represent their country and experience an international competition for the first time. Our team has been drawn from a range of schools and clubs all with differing programme sizes; all of whom produced superb performances at the recent trials. We are very excited to see what the team will do when they meet the French at the London Regatta Centre!”
In 2024, GB won four out of the seven Women’s races and six out of the seven Men’s races. The athletes and support staff selected for 2025 are:
