British Rowing is convening a new Task & Finish Group to review eligibility rules for junior rowers and crews
The group will examine how to balance fair competition, athlete choice and the sustainability of school and club programmes, while gathering views from across the rowing community. Initial stakeholder engagement has informed and shaped this approach.
Chaired by British Rowing, the group will be made up of independent members with broad experience across schools, clubs and the pathway. It will run an open and transparent process, inviting contributions from athletes, parents, coaches, volunteers and competition organisers.
This is an important opportunity for British Rowing to bring the sport together around a meaningful issue and ensure the future of junior rowing remains fair, sustainable and inspiring for the next generation.
