At the first World Cup of 2011 in Munich Jamie with crewmates Jono Clegg, John Preston and Will Fletcher raced in the Great Britain 2 lightweight men's four and finished in 11th place. The same crew raced in the lightweight men's four at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Amsterdam and after narrowly missing out on a place in the A final, won the B final comfortably.

Jamie won a gold and silver respectively at the 2011 and 2010 BUCS Regatta in lightweight single sculls and a silver medal at the 2010 European Universities Championships in the same boat type.

Jamie has won the Visitors' Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta in 2011 and 2010.

Jamie raced in the lightweight men's four at the 2010 World Rowing U23 Championships in Brest, Belarus, winning gold.  He then competed in the lightweight men's double scull with Sam Scrimgeour at the FISU World University Rowing Champiionships in Hungary, where he came 8th.

Jamie started rowing at Cambois Rowing Club after swimming competitively for many years to regional level.  In 2008 he won gold medals in the lightweight men's double at the National Championships and Home International Regatta.  In 2009 he repeated his medal at the National Championships but took silver at the HIR.

Jamie is currently studying Sport and Exercise Science at Roehampton University.  He enjoys cycling and swimming and, as a qualified rowing coach, likes coaching rowing whenever possible.
