Great Marlow School Boat Club – Sessional Rowing Coach

Great Marlow School Boat Club seek to appoint a sessional rowing coach for the start of the 2023/24 season in September (earlier start could be negotiated for the right candidate)

Great Marlow School is a co-educational school in Marlow, starting in Year 7 till Year 13. We offer rowing to all ages at Great Marlow School and in doing so have picked up an exciting number of rowers. We have established a highly competitive squad of boys and girls at all age ranges, in sweep and sculling. We have had recent National and International level success by our current rowers and alumni.

At National Schools Regatta 2023 we won two events and placed inside the top 12 in 8 events.

We seek to employ a sessional rowing coach to aid us in our continued aims and visions for the Boat Club. We offer sessions from Monday to Sunday with different age groups, we are therefore able to offer opportunities to fit around the correct individual’s other daily demands.

Hours and pay will be based upon the individual’s experiences and the flexibility they may have around their other demands as to how many sessions they can pick up. This would be an excellent role for anyone who is currently attempting to row at the elite level or someone who would be interested into the insights of rowing coaching and developing a future career.

We offer rowing sessions Monday – Friday from 15:00 – 17:30 and weekends from 07:30/08:00 – 12:30.

Any queries or to apply (with CV and short cover letter) please email [email protected].

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and receipt of two satisfactory references.

Application Dates: From Friday 2nd June 2023 to Friday 16th June 2023
