January 30, 2020 Jobs British Rowing, World Class Start Coach British Rowing, World Class Start Coach British Rowing is looking to appoint a Coach for the Cambridgeshire World Class Start Programme which will be based in Peterborough City Rowing Club. World Class Start is a Lottery funded post through UK Sport. The aim of the programme is to build the future of the GB Rowing Team by identifying and developing potential Olympians. At London 2012, five of GB’s ten Olympic champions in rowing were from World Class Start. In Rio, eleven World Class Start rowers represented GB at the Olympic Games and eight won medals – five gold, three silver. This is an excellent opportunity to coach rowers on a daily basis as part of an innovative and successful programme. The coach will be responsible for delivering the World Class Start programme in Peterborough including the recruitment, induction and development of rowers onto the Olympic pathway. This will include the establishment of strong local links with schools, colleges, universities and other sports organisations.
