British Rowing – Safety Officer
The Safety Officer will provide vital expertise and advice to the Senior Management Team and key committees on safe practice in all aspects of Health and Safety within British Rowing and the sport across all of its operations.
The Safety Officer will provide leadership within British Rowing that will ensure that British Rowing is compliant and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines in all locations at all times.
The Safety Officer is a part-time role on a 3 day a week basis (hours and work can be adjusted to suit the individual).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the oversight and compliance of all Health and Safety activities and risk across British Rowing offices, operations and activities.
- Responsible for the oversight of safe practices within the sport of rowing and for providing advice to British Rowing at all levels on safe practice.
- Be the key contact for key stakeholders, volunteer committees and panels who work with British Rowing relating to safety best practice and learning.
