If you are someone who would like to support your club with coaching the occasional session, assisting or supporting a Learn to Row course, you might want to consider doing a UKCC Level 2 Award in Coaching Sessions.

The Session Coach is a qualification that replaces our previously released ‘Learn to Row Instructor’ and it ensures that our coaches are supported and trained to the best possible standard. Accredited by 1st4Sport, the UKCC qualification pathway provides a framework which will enable you to take your passion for rowing and use it to support and develop all rowers through skills based sessions.

The Session Coach Award is the first award for coaching individuals on the water and is aimed at beginner coaches who will be supporting Club Coaches with their delivering their sessions.

What will I get out of it?

As a Session Coach Award holder you will be qualified plan and deliver rowing coaching sessions for participants independently as part of a sport/activity programme.
