Welsh Rowing – Pathway Manager

Role Outline

An exciting opportunity to provide leadership and management of the Welsh Rowing Performance Team with responsibility for delivering the talent and performance elements of the Welsh Rowing strategic plan. This aims to ensure the success of Welsh athletes in national and international competition and support more Welsh athletes competing for the GB Rowing Team at Junior, Under 23 and Senior levels. This role will oversee our pathway in sliding seat rowing, both on flat water and on the sea.

The Pathway Manager will be responsible for the ongoing evolution of a strong and sustainable performance pathway within Wales, promoting an athlete-centred, holistic environment. Working with Welsh-qualified rowers based in and out of Wales, our Start Centre, coaches and clubs this role is one of partnership and facilitation. The Pathway Manager will work to provide opportunities for both athletes and coaches to develop at the highest levels.

You are already a self-starter capable of working independently, with a background in performance sport. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of working within a team and managing your time effectively to meet deadlines. The ability to lead, manage and motivate staff and volunteers, together with excellent organisational, planning and communication skills is essential.

Salary

£32,000-34,000 pro-rata Part time – 24hours a week – flexible working is a requirement.
