St Peter’s School, York – Head of Rowing

St Peter’s School, York, is a dynamic, forward-looking HMC independent school for day and boarding pupils based a few minutes’ walk from the historic centre of York.

St. Peter’s School Boat Club was founded in 1851. The sport has grown considerably over the last two decades. Around 20% of the School rows each term, mainly from the senior school (St Peter’s 13-18) as well as some of the older pupils at St Peter’s 8-13. The Boat Club is a thriving part of the school with excellent facilities, including a recently built boathouse. It operates on the banks of the river Ouse.

We are looking for a highly experienced coach to provide effective leadership and management of Rowing. Applicants must have experience of rowing at a high level as well as teaching/coaching children. A relevant coaching qualification is essential.

We are offering a competitive salary dependent on the successful candidates’ experience and qualifications.

For further details please visit the St Peter’s school website here.

Please note that applications must be made on the School’s application form and accompanied by a covering letter.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to checks by the Disclosure and Barring Service. The post holder will be required to take care to safeguard their own safety and that of others with whom they work and to co-operate with those designated with responsibility for health and safety.
