St Peter’s School, York – Graduate Sports Assistants

St Peter’s School, founded in AD 627, is one of the oldest schools in the world.  It occupies a 47-acre campus on the banks of the River Ouse, and lies within a short walk of the centre of the historic city of York.

We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic graduates to join the Sports Department at St Peter’s School, York (3-18), which has an outstanding reputation for its sports programme.  We are looking for graduates who are experienced in coaching rugby, rowing, netball, tennis, hockey and cricket but we may also consider applications from all round sports people.

To commence in September 2021, we are looking for graduates who are passionate about sport and are considering a teaching or coaching career. Applicants must have a degree in Sports Science or other sports related course. No teaching qualification is required though the successful candidates will need to hold a relevant First Aid Qualification.

This is a full time, term time only role with a salary of £13,500 p.a. In addition, you will be offered free accommodation on site, food during term time, sports kit and parking on site. These posts will initially be for one year, but could be extended for a further year by competitive process for the right candidates.

Interviews will be ongoing, so early applications are encouraged.

For further details visit www.stpetersyork.org.uk/vacancies.  Please note that applications must be made on the School’s application form and accompanied by a covering letter.

Closing date: Friday 26th February 2021 at 10.00am.
