Senior Rowing Coach

22.5 hours per week (52 weeks per year)

Pay range 2 (£11,913 – £13,389 actual salary, depending on experience)

Required for September 2021

Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School is seeking a Senior Rowing Coach to work with the boys and girls senior rowing squads and contribute to the school vision as a high-performance sculling centre. The role will involve assisting in the day to day running of the boat club as well as taking the lead, motivating and coaching either the boys or girls’ senior squads towards this vision.

With record numbers in the boat club this season and the largest senior group for many years this is a great time to join Borlase. Our excellent training facilities and equipment provide a great platform for our rowers to learn and enjoy rowing.

Candidates must have some flexibility and be available to coach at weekends, during school holidays and attend a training camp normally over the Easter break.

Qualifications in coaching are helpful, a passion for the sport is essential. Trailer driving and minibus licenses are also desirable.

For the successful applicant, there is the opportunity to take on an additional role as Cover Assistant. This is to help with learning support and other school related duties for 14.5 hours per week, Term Time Only, pay range 1B, actual salary range £5,624 – £6,172 depending on experience.
