Rowing Safety and Operations Manager – Longholme Boathouse, Bedford

The Harpur Trust Boathouse team provides support to the rowing activities of three of our schools; Bedford School, Bedford Girls’ School and Bedford Modern School.

In this role you will lead the Boathouse operation including the management of the team, full accountability for checking and promoting safe practice in rowing, ensuring that the Harpur Trust rowing procedures are fully met and complied with, and developing and managing safe practice.  Maintaining and supporting boats, vehicles, and rowing equipment, and supporting rowers to train, race and compete at the highest levels are also key priorities.

You will have health & safety regulatory compliance experience and ideally have a relevant qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH.  An interest or knowledge of rowing is also desirable.  Additionally, you will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills in order to provide advice and guidance on risk assessment and management of rowing activities.
