RGS Worcester: Rowing Coach to cover maternity leave

RGS Worcester is looking for a part-time rowing coach to cover maternity leave.

This may suit a recent graduate or current undergraduate who would like to gain valuable experience in a School setting or Level 2-qualified rowing coach who is looking to lend their expertise. The successful candidate would be required to cover Games and after-school sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, as well as Saturday river training sessions. The candidate would also be expected to attend rowing fixtures during the academic year, occasional holiday training days / rowing camps.

There is an opportunity for job-sharing if candidates cannot fulfil all the hours required. Role: To work closely with the Head of Rowing and the lead coaches to deliver high quality rowing coaching to boys and girls aged J14-18. Provide support to the coaching team at rowing fixtures and events. Assist with the delivery of land training sessions in the school’s well-equipped fitness suite and sports halls.

Requirements:

Experience of rowing and sculling. Understanding of British Sculling / Rowing Stroke and technical drills and skills. Coaching experience is preferable but full training will be given.

Start date:

ASAP subject to satisfactory references and DBS checks.

Salary:

Negotiable and appropriate to the experience of the successful candidate(s).
