Queen’s Gate – Rowing Coach (part-time)

Queen’s Gate is a thriving GSA day school for girls aged 4 –18 and is ideally situated in Central London to take advantage of the many educational opportunities on offer. Sport plays an important part in School life with girls going on to achieve national and international recognition in a range of disciplines.

We require from 20th April 2022, a part-time rowing coach with a Level 2 Rowing Coaching qualification to be responsible for teaching and coaching of the sport under the direction and guidance of the Head of Rowing, and the Director of Sport.

The successful candidate would be expected to ensure that all teaching, coaching, officiating, and administrative tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard and would be expected to interface with teaching, coaching and non-teaching staff, pupils and parents.

An appreciation of the ethos of an independent school, commitment, the ability to show initiative and work as a member of a team, would all be desirable attributes.

The position is part-time and working hours would be typically:

  • Monday 09:05-10:35 and 14:00-15:30
  • Thursday 14:00-15:30
  • Friday 14:00-15:30

An application form and further details may be downloaded from our website. When completed the application form should be sent by email to [email protected] together with a covering letter to the Principal, to arrive no later than Wednesday, 30th March 2022.

Queen’s Gate is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and have references taken up with previous employers, including the most recent.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children

Application Dates: From Tuesday 22nd March 2022 to Wednesday 30th March 2022
