Merton College Boat Club – Portugal Training Camp Coach

Summary

Merton College Boat Club (MCBC) is looking for a rowing coach for our Men’s first eight at our training camp in Portugal. The camp will run from April 11-17th in Porto. MCBC will provide for your travel, accommodation, and food. You will also be paid for coaching per day (based on experience).

Potential long-term role

Long term, we are also seeking an assistant women’s coach and future women’s head coach. If you perform well at the camp and you’re based near Oxford, we will consider offering you both positions.

More details

You would coach three water sessions per day for five days. You would be expected to coach both eights and smaller sculling boats, and coordinate with our Head Coach to make a training plan.

In your down time, you could get to know the members of our club and/or explore Porto. We will have a group of around 25 club members (men’s and women’s sides) rowing from and staying at Clube Naval Infante Dom Henrique.
