London Youth Rowing Programmes Coach

LYR delivers inspiring programmes attracting over 7,000 participants every year. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic coach to join our London Youth Rowing Coaching team.
We are looking for an engaging and creative person to work with our London Based schools. We are seeking an exceptional individual who is confident in engaging young people in physical activity. As an LYR Programmes Coach you will be working closely with our partnered State Schools across London, delivering indoor and on-water rowing*. The role is integral to the successful delivery of our Active Row and Breaking Barriers Programmes.

Location: London

Contract type: Permanent (Full time)

Salary: £22,000

Interviews: Jan – Feb 2020, to start ASAP.

·         Encourage disadvantaged young people to be active, and improve their physical, social and mental wellbeing

·         Help develop crucial life skills, which are necessary for success in the classroom and the workplace

·         Enable young people to participate in the unique sport – indoor and on-water rowing – across London, regardless of background, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability or ability

·         Nurture determination and success in a new generation of active young people

*A rowing coaching qualification is not essential, although willingness to complete the relevant qualifications with our support will be required.
