London Youth Rowing – East London Programme Director

London Youth Rowing (LYR) are hiring an East London Programme Director (Senior Management Team).

Location: London

Reporting to: CEO

Contract type: Full – Time, Permanent

Salary: £30-35k per annum

Base: Royal Docks Adventure Centre, Newham / remote working during Covid

Job Summary:  

The role is integral to the successful delivery of London Youth Rowing’s Programmes in East London. This role will lead on the development and delivery of LYR’s grassroots rowing programmes based at the Royal Docks Adventure and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, as well as leading the delivery and development of LYR’s club rowing programmes comprising LYR Club, Thames Tradesmen, 1863 Club, Globe Rowing Club and the Mossbourne Federation rowing academy.

The position will also oversee the development and delivery of the LYR Tackling Inactivity in the workplace programme, scaling up from a pilot. The role will also include taking the lead on commercialising LYR’s presence on the Olympic park, through generating and delivering corporate and individual “paid for” events and courses.

The role will be a member of the Senior Management Team of LYR (SMT) and therefore in addition to the above programme specific duties, the successful candidate will be expected to help support all aspects of the running of LYR.
