Hereford Rowing Club – Community Coach

Hereford Rowing Club are seeking an inspiring and motivating rowing coach to run a pilot introducing rowing to new groups. We are an inclusive and accessible club that is passionate about improving access to our sport and those traditionally who have not accessed our club. We have funding for an ambitious three month pilot and are looking at further bids to make this a sustainable venture. This is a great opportunity to come in at the beginning and help shape an exciting project.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess a minimum of Level 2 coaching qualification alongside a RYA level 2 powerboat qualification.
  • Possess a British Rowing enhanced DBS for working with young people
  • Must be reliable, punctual and able to enthuse those they coach
  • Work with the Lead Junior Coach and Captain to develop a successful programme
  • Work to encourage and uphold the club vision and values
  • Aptitude to coach sight impaired athletes in very small groups with volunteer assistance

The post holder must be registered as self employed and will work 10 hrs a week.

The work timings will require flexibility and there will be evening and weekend working.
