Go Row Indoor Master Trainer

Are you passionate about indoor rowing and see yourself as someone who is a motivated, dynamic and a proactive coach or trainer? If so, then we would love to hear from you, as you may have what it takes to become part of our Go Row Indoor Master Trainer team!

We are specifically looking for instructors who are local to Manchester or Leeds.

📣 A bit about the role

British Rowing are excited to appoint two new educators to enhance the already established team of Master Trainers in place. GO ROW INDOOR is British Rowing indoor rowing initiative which aims to get more people indoor rowing whether for fun, fitness, health, or competition. It helps deliver focused indoor rowing programmes nationwide, helping build strong pockets of rowing activity where anyone that wants to indoor row can do so from whatever background or ability.

A key element of the Go Row Indoor initiative is the nationwide roll-out of high-quality indoor rowing education workshops, helping improve the instruction of, and the experience for anyone using any type of indoor rowing machine. The hours will vary subject to demand and geographical location.

👋 A bit about you

You will need to be an experienced, enthusiastic, and ambitious person with training and/or tutoring experience and have a passion for indoor rowing. You will have a willingness to up-skill and inspire other people in the field, delivering in-person and/or virtually. You will also be interested in developing training content and providing new ways to enhance the fitness experience using an indoor rowing machine. On-water rowing and coaching experience is an advantage but also not essential.

🚣‍ A bit about us

Our passion is rowing. We are the governing body for rowing, responsible for supporting grassroots rowing in England and getting the GB Rowing Team ready for the Olympics, Paralympics, and other international competitions. We are a membership organisation with over 30,000 individual members and we are looking to support over 550 affiliated clubs and 230 affiliated events. We cover all types of rowing whether it’s on the river or lake, on the sea or in the gym (on a rowing machine) and so a key aim is provide high quality service to all parts of the rowing community.

Training to become a qualified Master Trainer will be provided to successful candidates. You will also become an ambassador for the Go Row Indoor initiative. All activities will be managed by British Rowing. A standard hourly/ day rate (plus travel expenses) will be paid for all activities irrespective of location and timings.

Additional Information

Successful candidates will be asked to attend a short, online interview. You will also need to be available on the 5th of July 2023 to attend in-person training for the role and then on the 13th of July online.

Salary: Standard day rate, plus travel expenses
