George Heriots School – Assistant Rowing Coach

We are seeking to recruit an appropriately experienced Rowing Coach to provide assistance in coaching for pupils from August 2022. Please note that the role is for one session initially, until June 2023. Candidates should be able and willing to coach pupils at Senior School stages.

The position is for weekday morning and afternoons, as well as Saturday mornings during Term Time, and will require travelling with pupils to away fixtures as required, including at weekends. Furthermore, attendance at a residential Easter training camp may be required.

Please note that applicants must hold a valid First Aid certificate.

Hours of work:

20 hours per week, variable as follows:

Weekday Mornings

Tuesday Morning: 07.00am – 08.30am

Wednesday Morning 07.30am – 09.00am

Thursday Morning 07.00am – 08.30am

Weekday Afternoons

Monday to Wednesday: 2.00pm – 5.00pm

Thursdays: 3.00pm -5.00pm

Saturday: Training from 8am-12pm

Occasional Saturday/Sunday Regatta (Times will vary depending on venue)

Salary: Actual salary per annum £10,975 – £15,409 (£23,701 – £33,274 FTE) depending on qualifications and experience. Additional payment will be given for time worked outside of contracted hours, including attendance at events.

Type: Part-time, Fixed Term (1 Year); Term-Time Only 20 hours per week (can be up to 25)
