Coach Developer – Pathway

British Rowing aims to create a coaching pathway that is open, accessible, and transparent so that any individual can achieve their ambitions. The post-holder will play a key leadership role within the coaching pathway, building and shaping a transformative model for supporting the development of coaches across the British Rowing regions. This role has a particular focus on coaches who are developing themselves through a coach development programme or qualification. The role will be pivotal in the evolution of these coaches and a fantastic opportunity for someone to support their learning and development.

The position of Coach Developer – Pathway is a full-time paid role. You will joining British rowing at a time of transformative change, leading a new approach to connecting coaches across all aspects of the sport, developing future generations of coaches, and shaping the system to develop a diverse rowing community across the British Rowing regions.

We are looking for someone with experience of supporting coaches and people development, to build, shape and deliver an innovative coach development programme. You will have the ability to build rapport, credibility and maintain relationships with a wide range of coaches and other partners, to raise coaching standards and create supportive environments.

🚣‍ A bit about us

Our passion is rowing. We are the governing body for rowing, responsible for supporting grassroots rowing in England and getting the GB Rowing Team ready for the Olympics, Paralympics, and other international competitions.

We are a membership organisation with over 30,000 individual members and we are looking to support over 550 affiliated clubs and 230 affiliated events. We cover all types of rowing whether it’s on the river or lake, on the sea or in the gym (on a rowing machine) and so a key aim is provide high quality service to all parts of the rowing community.

Initial interviews are scheduled to take place on 7th June 2023. The interview process is likely to be a 2-part process with the first interview being virtual and those successful being invited to a second in-person interview.
