CEO – Infinity Boat Club (Teesside)

We are seeking an exceptional leader, excited by the challenge of building from the inception a newly funded, not-for-profit organisation which aims to improve young lives through the benefits of a comprehensive rowing program.

The organisation targets the most disadvantaged groups of young people in the Middlesbrough/Stockton area in the age range 13-18.

The founders of the Infinity Boat Club believe rowing is a sport that can form and transform the character, resilience, and health of young people through the skills, teamwork, physical activity, and personal disciplines it fosters.

About the role

As CEO, you will need to be value-driven with a passion for providing the leadership to refine the strategy, develop the team, and deliver the program. You will act as the lead ambassador for the organisation, setting our culture, developing our profile, and forming key partnerships.

You will be supported by a highly skilled Board of Trustees with initial funding to provide new life opportunities through rowing to some 200 underprivileged young people at a time from 13 to 18 years old in the Middlesbrough and Stockton areas. Following a successful launch, the opportunity to scale the organisation and reach more young people exists.

As CEO you must have skills and experience to build and lead a dedicated team of professional staff and volunteers in establishing the organisation and implementing its strategic goals. You will be strongly motivated with knowledge of effective strategic leadership and operational management gained in prior roles – potentially including working with young people from low socio-economic communities. Prior experience of rowing is not required.

You will require a DBS check and a clean driving licence with access to a car.
