British Rowing – Head of Olympic and Paralympic Performance Delivery

British Rowing is seeking a Head of Olympic and Paralympic Performance to lead its Performance Operations, Logistics and Resources teams to align world class support behind its Olympic and Paralympic Head Coaches. The successful candidate will play an integral role in Games time preparations and working with their team to ensure GB Rowing Team is optimally supported in its training and racing environments at home and abroad.

This role will have a specific focus on supporting the Paralympic Programme as the lead for key relationships with Paralympics GB and a responsibility for international classification. The successful applicant may ultimately play the role of Team Leader at the Paralympic Games.

Application criteria:

Essential

  • Proven track record of planning, logistics and resources
  • Evidence of building or developing an effective team
  • Strong line management experience
  • Paralympic Games Experience as Coach/Team Leader/Performance Director or equivalent
  • Understanding of Paralympic Classification
  • Proven ability to build and sustain long term relationships
  • Proven stakeholder management capabilities

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience in rowing
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to commit strategy to paper in compelling written word for the purposes of funding applications
  • Experience of budget management
