Results are up for the JIRR 2011

The National Water Sport Centre at Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham was host to the Junior Inter-Regional Regatta on Saturday 9th April.  Junior rowers from across the Regions enjoyed the sunshine and some great racing.  The results have been published on the JIRR website – www.jirr.org/results.htm

Di Ellis CBE, Chairman of British Rowing attended the event and thoroughly enjoyed the day; “Perfect organisation, racing and weather made the Junior Inter Regional Championships a very special event to be at. The regions, their team managers and coaches are to be congratulated on raising the standards while encouraging their athletes to have fun and enjoy the moment”.

Many congratulations to the crews from Thames Upriver who were the overall winners and to Thames Upriver and Thames Downriver who jointly won the Men’s title, having acheived the same points, and the North West who won the Women’s title.
