International Development

British Rowing is committed to ensuring that the sport of Rowing thrives in countries across the world.  As the most successful rowing nation at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games we are delighted to partner with FISA, the international federation for rowing, and UK sport to help develop rowing globally.

The International Development Directorate of UK Sport supports co-operation, dialogue and policy development on high quality and inclusive sport worldwide.  The organisation offers support to its UK partners to work internationally.

British Rowing is currently involved with a number of projects in Southern and East Africa to support sustainable rowing activity.  We are working alongside coaches and other personnel in countries such as Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana and Uganda to help with coach education, governance, safety and the development of local and regional competition.
