The GB Rowing Team is fielding 14 boats across the U19 men’s and U19 women’s competitions with crews competing in the single sculls, double sculls, quad sculls, pair, four and eight. Four rowers and a cox from each eight will also double up to race in the coxed four each day.

Vicky Spencer, Olympic Transition Coach U19-U23 at British Rowing said: “The Coupe is an important step on the pathway to an international rowing career beyond the Under 19 level. This year we have selected a talented team of rowers, coxes and coaches from 30 different programmes, who will be able to use this opportunity to gain valuable international racing experience for the future. All of the athletes have been supported and developed throughout the past season by their home clubs and coaches, and much credit is due to them for getting these young men and women to this point in their rowing careers.’

The Coupe de la Jeunesse brings together 16 different European nations, with each boat class racing on the Saturday and Sunday. Points are awarded to crews for their final finishing position each day. The team with the most accrued points at the conclusion of the regatta wins the ‘Coupe de la Jeunesse’ trophy, of which Great Britain is the current holder.
