These talented young rowers will have their first shot at international racing since the pandemic, with all of them making their GB U19 international debuts. John Layng, U19 Team Manager at British Rowing said: “After an absence of three years, I am so happy to be taking a squad of U19 rowers to Munich International Junior Regatta.ADVERT “This is an important development opportunity for our young international rowers and the experience that they gain from racing top-class European crews will challenge them to step up towards a world-class level of performance. There have been few chances to experience high level competition recently so this will be invaluable for them as they progress towards competitions later this summer. I would like to thank the rowers’ clubs, schools and parents for their support in enabling them to take part in the regatta.” Louise Kingsley, British Rowing Director of Performance added: “It’s wonderful to see U19 racing is back after what has been a challenging time for athletes, families, their clubs and coaches. I wish the GB athletes the best of luck at Munich and want to extend thanks to the support team, many of whom are volunteers, and who have worked so hard to get our U19’s back to international racing!” Travelling to Munich will be: U19 Men’s Sculling Josh Matthews – Strathclyde Park RC Nathaniel Gauden – Leander Club Frederick Woodall – Leander Club Jack Cadwallader – The Windsor Boys Marcus Chute – The Windsor Boys Jacob Ioras – The Windsor Boys U19 Women’s Sculling Laura Burton – Cambridge 99 RC Ella Bardsley Taylor – Hartpury College Lucy Thomson – Royal Chester RC Megan Knight – Trentham BC Ella Fullman – Wycliffe College U19 Women’s Sweep Maisie Aspinall – Aberdeen Schools Rowing Association Zoe Beeson – Aberdeen Schools Rowing Association Amy Newton – George Heriots School Issie Magee – Headington School Alice Baker – King’s School Worcester Annalisa Janss Lafond – Tideway Scullers School U19 Men’s Sweep Jamie Ginsberg – Eton College Saxon Stacey – Eton College Zac Day – Kings College School Wimbledon Alex Forbes – Kings College School Wimbledon Tom Monaghan – Kings College School Wimbledon Sam Scowen – Kings College School Wimbledon Hylton Harvey – Radley College Johnny Elliot (Cox) – Radley College Jake Birch – Shiplake College Freddie Middleton – Shiplake College Josh Brangan – St Edwards School Theo Doyle – St Georges College Max Peel – Westminster School BC Team Support John Layng – Team Manager Mark Wilkinson – Coach Ryan Demaine – Coach Dave Currie – Coach Greg Flower – Coach Patrick Duggan – Coach Holly Reid – Coach Sian Vaughan Evans – Physiotherapist Andy Ciecierski – Team Doctor Dan Cooper – GB Coach Johnathan Jackson – Driver ADVERT
