The GB Rowing Team is the high performance arm of British Rowing. Rowing is the nation’s most continuously successful Olympic sport, having won a gold medal in every Olympic Games since 1984, and has won six Paralympic golds since the sport was introduced to the Paralympic Games programme in 2008.

Rory Gibbs first made his debut for the GB Rowing Team at the U23 World Championships, finishing 5th as part of the men’s eight in 2015 and 2016.
He has had a superb start to his first season in the senior squad, winning World Champs bronze, European gold and World Cup III silver as part of the men’s four.
Gibbs took up rowing at Oxford Brookes University after regularly picking up injuries playing rugby. He works part-time as a gym manager at Williams F1 and recently became a level 3 personal trainer. In his spare time he enjoys binge watching TV series and films – his favourite TV show is Game of Thrones and favourite film is Shrek.
