British Rowing collaborate with kitround to give donated kit a second life
The collaboration will see kitround collect donated kit at the British Rowing Masters and Club Championships, raising funds for Love Rowing
We are delighted to announce a new collaboration with kitround, a B Corp accredited sports marketplace dedicated to making sport more accessible and the sports industry more sustainable through reselling, redistributing and donating new and pregamed sports kit.
Through the collaboration, kitround will set up kit collection points at two major British Rowing events in 2026; the British Rowing Masters Championships and the British Rowing Club Championships. This will give competitors, coaches and spectators the opportunity to donate good quality kit that they no longer need or use. All donated items will be sorted and processed by kitround, before being listed for sale on a dedicated British Rowing kitshop page on kitround’s website.
All proceeds from the sale of donated kit will go directly to Love Rowing, the official charity foundation of British Rowing, to support their programmes to get more people on the water.
kitround will also produce a comprehensive kitround360 environmental and social impact report after each Championship event, detailing the CO2 and water savings generated by donating kit rather than disposing of it. So the rowing community will know exactly what the impact of their donations are!
Rowers are encouraged to bring kit in good, re-usable condition to the collection points. Rowing kit is the primary focus, but donations from any sport are welcome – anything that helps make sport more accessible and sustainable.
Adam Stevens, Co-Founder of kitround, said: “We’re hugely proud to be collaborating with British Rowing. Rowing has such a passionate, close-knit community, and that makes it the perfect place to show how much good can come from giving kit a second life. Every item donated keeps sport more accessible, the industry more sustainable, and helps fund Love Rowing’s brilliant work getting more people on the water. That’s a win on every level.”
Collection points will be at registration and by the finish tower – bring your kit as an individual or collect as a club before the Championships!
