The Open Solos was awash with names currently in the top ten of the leaderboard for the Four Nations Series. As the only junior representative, Zack Hills (Tynemouth RC)  took first place in his age category on home water, placing fifth overall. An established name in coastal rowing, James Cox (Agecroft RC) finished first in the senior category and first overall, followed by fellow GB Beach Sprint Team alumni Charles Cousins (Mumbles ARC) and current Four Nations leader Marc Wilson (Whitby Coastal RC) in third. In the Masters field, gold went to Osborn of Eastbourne RC.

In the Senior Women’s Solo, Bass Andre (Shanklin Sandown EC) took gold – Bryony Jones of Llanion Warriors RC led the Masters category, and Elyssa Stoker of City of Sunderland RC won the Juniors. In the Doubles, Jersey RC came first in Masters and overall, whilst Jersey won the senior title.

The Mixed Doubles was a hotly contested field, but it was a second gold for Osborn of Eastbourne RC in the Masters field, with partner Guest. Juniors and Seniors raced together, with Tynemouth taking gold in Seniors and overall, and Ormston and Hills winning it for the Juniors.

GB win 2025 Coupe de la Jeunesse

Following a fantastic weekend of racing, Great Britain’s U19 rowers won the Men’s, Women’s and Overall Coupe de la Jeunesse trophies. An amazing forty-five out of forty-six selected athletes won medals. Saturday saw GB win nine gold, one silver and one bronze medal, while Sunday saw seven gold medals and four silver medals.

Holly Furniss, Assistant Team Manager said: “The athletes and coaches were amazing both on and off the water. The results showed the strength in our domestic clubs and schools and a huge thank you to all the coaches both at the event and in the athletes home clubs.”

The Team were very well supported and it was great to see so many families and coaches who had travelled out to cheer everyone on.
