Sport has an incredible role to play in recovery from injury or illness. At a time when live sports events are less available, those that rely on training and competition to support their mental and physical health are seeking new outlets. To support them, our friends at the Invictus Games Foundation have organised an epic virtual challenge to row from Sydney to The Hague to mark the handover from the last Invictus Games to the next. Open for all to take part, not only those who were wounded, injured or fallen ill during service, so if you are interested in adding your indoor KM to this free international virtual challenge, then register your interest here. Medals to mark the challenge coming soon!

Clare Holman works at British Rowing in the indoor rowing team and is also the Lead Indoor Rowing Coach for Invictus Games Team UK, and is encouraging anyone with access to a rowing machine to get involved: “With The Invictus Games The Hague 2020 postponed until 2021 this challenge has been such a great motivator for TeamUK’s indoor rowers to keep training and stay connected, both with one another and the wider Invictus family. We’ve still got a long way to go, but together we’ll get there!”
